Your
Innkeepers
Your hosts are Lisa and Lee
Fraitag. Lisa is a professional French horn
player and music teacher. She performs with the
Woodstock Chamber Orchestra and the Greater
Newburgh Symphony. Lee worked for many years at
IBM before retiring. He then attended the
Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park. Upon
graduation in 1995, Lisa and Lee bought the home
on Travis Road which was the Travis family dairy
Farm for most of the 20th century. We
were lucky as the house didn't have plumbing,
electricity, or central heat until the 1960's.
When we purchased the house in 1995 it had been
updated and we have continued to take care of
this simple but wonderful old home. We began welcoming guests to the
Willows Bed & Breakfast in June of 1996 and
have had a blast doing so since.
What's New At The
Willows
We have a new addition to our
staff! His name is Scout and he is a four
year old male English Setter, a
failed hunter from Georgia. He is a rescue
dog from American Lab Rescue. Lisa and I
urge anyone thinking of adopting a pet to
consider using Petfinder.com or your local
shelter.
The Dutchess County Fair
starts this week so there is a touch of autumn
in the air. We are now serving ham and
corn chowder and we are featuring our own
raspberries in our Oatmeal Raspberry Pancakes.
No need to worry about our
eggs as they come from a mile down the road.
We always use Knollkrest Farm eggs, a small egg
farm here in Dutchess County.
